My Family Birthday Celebration!

After my birthday party in my office on Thursday, I had a celebration planned with my family and friends later that night.

Our reservations were at The Pedler Steakhouse at 6:15, so right after work, I headed straight home to start getting ready! Since The Pedler is a bit more formal, I decided on this black lace dress that I ordered earlier this year! I saw it on Caitlin of Southern Curls and Pearls, and just knew I had to have it!

I decided to pair it with a statement necklace from Charming Charlie's, gold Lilly Pulitzer Resort Chic Wedges and my Kate Spade "Eat Cake for Breakfast" clutch. I loved this outfit because it was dressy without being too formal for the occasion. 

After dinner, it was time for (my favorite part) the cake! In the Miller Family, just like birthdays, cakes are a big deal, and my Mom didn't disappoint. She picked up a chocolate chip cheesecake with birthday cake icing from my favorite bakery! It was to-die for! Not to mention it had my picture on it in my birthday dress, along with balloons and monograms to match my invitations. 

She seriously thought of everything! Then, I got to open a few gifts. I think I literally squealed, when I opened my birthday gift from my family! It was the Kate Spade Handsome Stranger tote that I've been dreaming about for months!

I am obsessed! I couldn't wait to carry it the next morning when we left for Charleston!

I'm so glad that my parents, Marcia and Don were able to celebrate my birthday! It wouldn't have been a true birthday without these special people.

Thank you all for making my 23rd birthday so special!
