Last weekend, Appalachian State held there annual Greek Week, a week packed full of competitive events, including community service, a Lipsync competition, and an entire afternoon of my favorite, Greek games!
On Friday, I went with a group of girls to one of the newest parts of Greek Week, the Academic bowl! Each organization picked a group of representatives to answer Jeopardy-style questions. This was something completely new, so everyone was a little nervous about what to expect! There was an amazing turnout and everyone had a great time!
Saturday of Greek Week is known as Service Day! All of the different organizations come together in the morning, get divided up into smaller groups & go to different sites all around town. My group was sent to the local humane society. We spent our afternoon walking a sweet dog named, Shadow!
On Saturday night, we celebrated my little, Katy's 21st birthday. Her actual birthday was on the Saturday before Easter, but since we were on Easter break, this seemed like the perfect time! We had dinner at this nice restaurant/bar in Boone called Cafe Portofino! It was so good!
The birthday girl!
Princess fam!
On Sunday, we had Greek games on Duck Pond Field! The weather could not have been more perfect with a high of 73 that day! It was beautiful!
Katy & I participated in the water balloon toss and won second place!
Of all the Greek week events, Lipsync is the most competitive, and it took place on Monday night. This was my third year competing and I was just as nervous as the first time! Our theme was "Middle School" and even though we didn't win, we still did amazing on stage! I am so proud to be an Alpha Phi!
Sharyn, Kim & Katy were so sweet and made me signs! I can't wait to hang them up in my room when I move home!
My last Greek Week was absolutely amazing!
