I am so envious of the bloggers I follow, that have time to post every day! I just don't know where they find the time?!
What's been keeping me so busy this weekend?
Here's a little re-cap!
Friday night Alpha Phi had a special ceremony leading up to our initiation on Saturday morning.
On Saturday we had initiation! Such a special day for all my new members!
I only have one more meeting until my job as Pledge Mom is complete, and although I'm excited to be done, I'm going to miss them so much!
After initiation yesterday, we had a football game against Georgia Southern, the #1 ranked team in our division and we WON! Go Appalachian! Too bad this is the one game I decided to miss because I was so exhausted! People even rushed the field, it looked like SO much fun!
Everyone dressed up for Halloween last night after the game. Katy came over to get ready with me and then we decided to go to my friend Anthony's fraternity's Halloween party! We went as a cat & tiger!
Katy painted on some whiskers and was the cutest cat I'd ever seen!
I actually got the inspiration for my costume from Pinterest! Imagine that?
Here's the original:
I loved the uniqueness and creativity of the paint in the costume!
My friend, Gwyn is amazing in the art department and spent an hour painting me last night! We tried to follow the picture and did my arms, legs and face. (This was much more fun going on, than coming off)
What do you think?
I wanted you to be able to see all the paint here!
But, I ended up wearing a sweater because it was in the low 30's last night! We froze!
I thought it turned out amazing and definitely lived up to every expectation I had! Thanks, Gwyn & Katy for all your help!
My friend, Lindsey even got some inspiration from my costume and made this adorable cookie!
RAWR!!
Craft Update!
For those of you wondering about the craft I was making for my g-littles in my last post...I finally finished it!
-I started out with 4 blank canvases, then hot glued a ribbon on each.
-I panted them an aqua color and hot glued an all-glitter crown on the top
-I don't know how to write in cursive, so my friend, Kristin, came over and wrote on each one so I could paint over it! Thanks girl!
The final look!
Sunday:
My day will be spent relaxing, eating cinnamon roles, watching Lifetime, washing clothes, a trip to the grocery store and waiting for Jake to get back to Boone. I've missed him so much this weekend!
Have a wonderful rest of your Halloween!

Oh my goodness, Melody! It looks like you had a fabulous weekend! I love your costume -- so sassy! And the crafts you made for your g-littles are adorable! I sometimes wish I would have joined a sorority just for the sake of being able to craft for others! I love them! Hopefully you will have more time to blog now whenever sorority stuff calms down! I love reading your blog and am so glad you decided to start one! Hope you have a great week!
I'm so glad I found your blog--its too cute! Now following :) Anyways, I'm new to blogging too and I know what you mean about finding the time to post...I've definitely experienced that! Your costume is also SO cute and perfect, looks like you had a great weekend!!
Also, stop by and check out my blog, I gave yours an award! :)
Thank you! I made the pumpkin costume! I just bought a large orange sweatshirt and cut the neck to make it off the shoulder. Then I glued sequin ribbon around the border and painted the face. Super easy! I love your cat costume! The paint looks amazing! So do those cinnamon roles haha, yum!
