Hi everyone!
I hope you all have a had a great weekend so far! Mine has already been busy, but so so good!
I'm a little behind, so I'll have to update you on a couple of things that I've been doing. On Thursday, after I got done with class, I headed home from Boone to work on a project that I have. It's about a two-hour drive to my house, so not too bad. That night, I got the sweetest little surprise from Emily at In the Life of Emily. She chose a winner for her Swell Caroline "Starboard Bangle" giveaway and I won! This bracelet was already on my Christmas list for this year, so it must have been fate!
This is the color that I chose:
I'm so excited to get it!
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway, Emily!
The project I came home to work on is about what it takes to be a performer. I had to pick a radio or TV personality and interview them in person. I chose Brent Campbell, a reporter that I worked with this summer at my internship. The interview was yesterday (Friday) morning at 8:30AM at the office of the Winston-Salem Journal.
Here I am at my internship!
(This past summer)
Once my interview was finished, I was free to do whatever I wanted. After hearing about Ashley at Everyday AEM going to visit Edward McKay's used book store and finding so many things, I just had to see what this place was all about! My mom and I both ended up finding things we liked. I found 3 of the 4 books for Ashley & Crystal's Cover2Cover Book Club and got them for $15.50 TOTAL! I thought that was awesome! There were so many other things I wanted to take with me, but I left with these:
$3.00
$5.00
$7.50
Hop on over to one of their blogs to join in on all the fun!
I'm still on the lookout for the first book of the club "How to be a Hepburn in a Hilton World" because after talking to someone at Barnes and Noble, I found out that they didn't have it either. While waiting for my mom to finish shopping, I grabbed these and sat for a while...
This time I tried the Gingerbread Latte!
We ran a couple more places including one of my favorite restaurants, Village Tavern (I couldn't pass up the crab dip when I was so close by) and Sam's Club. Then it was back to Boone for me. Jake had planned to go home last night for a day, but decided to leave early this morning instead, so I got to spend some extra time with him:) We decided to watch a movie and chose "The Change-up" with Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds, which I liked okay, but I thought it was a little bit on the raunchy side (my personal opinion).
Have you seen it yet? What did you think?
& I saved the best for last!
My blog friend Dayna Leigh at A Bama Belle and A Bucket List and I have decided to do a button swap, after we both created these cute new buttons for our blogs! Make sure to grab her button and check out her super cute blog!

Have a great rest of the weekend!
