Happy June Everyone!
It's my first post this month & I can't believe it's already here. I feel like just yesterday I was starting my last semester of college and now we're already 6 months into 2012 and halfway to Christmas. This year's flying by!
At the beginning of this year, I did a post about the 12 things I'd like to do in 2012. You can read that here. Since we're half way through the year, I figured this was perfect time to see what I've accomplished on my list thus far!
1. Have an amazing spring break
My spring break this year was spent in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with a group of amazing friends! I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
2. Exercise more
Last semester I started running on campus, as a challenge for Lent. Since I've moved home, my Mom and I have started going to the park as much as we can to walk or run. Though it may not be something I'm able to do everyday, I feel great and in so much better shape.
3. Graduate with honors
Though I didn't graduate Cum Laude or anything like that, I did make the Dean's List for both semesters of my senior year. I think that's a pretty big accomplishment!
4. Get a job
I don't have anything full-time just yet but, I am working! I'm doing an internship right now that I love and waitressing a few days a week. That's progress!
5. Read more
This is one thing that I actually have time for since I graduated! During the school year, it was so tough to find time to read around homework, papers, and projects. I'm finally finding time to read and I'm loving it! You can follow along with my reading by visiting my "Read With Me" page!
6. Send my own cards
I had originally said I wanted to send my own Christmas cards, but when Ashley Brooke Designs came out with these adorable Valentine's cards, I got started a little early. My Christmas cards for this year are already in the works though!

7. Be able to buy real gifts
I am so proud of the efforts I've made in this department! My original goal was to be able to afford nice Christmas gifts and stockings for my family members, but this also started a little early. My gifts for Mother's Day were a hit and I can't wait to share what I got my Dad for Father's Day later this month!
8. Invest in a nice piece of jewelry
Thanks to my parents, brother, grandma, aunt & uncle, this goal was hit out of the ball park. I had mentioned in January that I would love to have a piece of Pandora or David Yurman jewelry. For my graduation, I got more than I ever expected! I received the most beautiful Pandora bracelet I've ever seen! I love it so much and cried when I opened it. Definitely my most favorite gift I've ever received!
I think 8 of 12 goals in six months isn't doing too shabby! How about you? Have you been keeping your resolutions or working on your goals for 2012?
Woo hoo! Good job!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're doing so well! Love the bracelet!
